For twenty years, from 1995, I wrote (as in published) around forty-five books for children. Books of mine were translated into more than twenty languages, I was interviewed on TV and radio, put in appearances at literary festivals, won the odd award, and so on. But I published my last children's book, under a pseudonym, in 2015 in order to work on other things (see some of those things below).
Now, however, after all this time, I'm once again working on books for kids. Not new books, though. No. Old ones. My most popular children's series (see panel on the left), which I'm going through one by one, all sixteen of them, revising and adapting them for the inspection and entertainment of today's young readers. There won't be a high-level promotion of these books. You won't find them in shops. Why not? Because I'm publishing them privately, online, through Amazon, as ebooks and paperbacks. If you happen across them I wish you joy. If you don't, I wish it anyway. What is life without the occasional spot of joy?
